Responding to God's gracious love with minds to think, hearts to love and hands to serve.

At Harcourt Parish, "We are The Episcopal Church at Work." With a strong commitment to local and international outreach and service, we mentor and encourage parishioners, students and newcomers to join us in our ministries.
For approximately 50 years our annual Rummage Sale has supported most of our outreach activities.   Through a simple grant request process, 80% of the proceeds have been given directly to local and international charities we support. 20% of the funds are used for the needs of the Parish. In 2015 we grossed nearly $20,000. Items not sold during our sale are donated to Northside Church of Christ in Utica. This partner organization distributes remaining "rummage" to nonprofits in rural areas.
Rummage Sale Volunteers nominate agencies who are invited to apply for grants from Rummage Sale proceeds. For more information please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
The following are some of the organizations we support:

Local Ministries
finalfoodforhungry11img 0191Food for the Hungry: Each December we ring the bells in Gambier to gather food to supply our local food pantries.
Interchurch Social Services of Mount Vernon (ISS): ISS is an outreach ministry supported by many Knox County churches including Harcourt Parish. It provides assistance for a wide variety of human need, including emergency food and shelter, counseling and job training. Harcourt Parish provides financial support for the work and many members of the parish are active volunteers or on the Board of Directors. We also collect a substantial number of Christmas gifts for Interchurch clients in late November and early December. Harcourt Parish does all our direct aid (gas, rent, food help) through Interchurch.
Knox County Hospice: The Parish provides both financial and volunteer support to this end-of-life-care facility.
Winter Sanctuary: Harcourt Parish was one of the founding members of the Winter Sanctuary Homless Shelter of Knox County. We also donated funds to build a handicap accessible bath and shower room for the guests. Each year we mobilize parishioners, Kenyon College students and members of the Gambier community to staff the shelter.
We also support:
