Instructions for Zoom
You can join Zoom via computer, mobile device, or simply phone. A point person will be logged into Sunday Morning Prayer by 10:10 and Weekday Evening Prayer by 4:50 in order to work out any technical issues.
1) To join by computer: You will need to download Zoom, which you can do here: https://zoom.us/download. The instructions on that page should be fairly straightforward. Once Zoom is downloaded, you will simply need to click on the invitation to the correct meeting, as listed above. (Do note: Your computer will need to allow Zoom to access your computer’s camera and microphone in order to use Zoom).
2) To join by mobile device (phone, iPad, etc): You will need to download the Zoom app from the app store on your device. Once you have done so, you will simply type in the meeting ID, which is also in the information below.
3) To join by phone: Dial one of the listed phone numbers, then enter the meeting ID, followed by the # sign.
Other Spiritual Resources
During this period of isolation and social distance, you may appreciate additional opportunities to engage your faith and to encounter Christ’s presence in new ways. In the coming weeks, you will see more information coming from your parish leaders via email, Facebook, and Instagram (please click the links to follow us on those platforms). Meanwhile, a few helpful suggestions are listed (and linked!) below:
The Daily Office
Stations of the Cross video, featuring Jon Tazewell
We cannot gather at the church, but the space is still open for those who seek a place for personal prayer. Consider playing this video on your phone while you contemplate the beautiful stations by Barbara Tazewell that we display in the chapel during this season of Lent.
How Can I help?
As you are no doubt aware, the pandemic will have a significant economic impact on our local community. If you are able, please consider making an online donation to the Mid-Ohio Food Bank. You can also make check donation to Interchurch Social Services, which is the most direct way our parish can serve the vulnerable in Knox County. If you would like information about how to assist the Hot Meals programs in Mount Vernon, please reach out to Mother Rachel (740-427-5353).
You might also consider purchasing a gift card at a local restaurant or shop to help them out, as many have been forced to close.
